Thurston County Volunteer Legal Services is pleased to re-start our monthly FREE CLE series!    Our first CLE of the new year will be from 5:30 to 7:30 pm on Wednesday, January 31 (1.5 credits are pending approval by the WSBA).   ALL ARE WELCOME!   A light meal will be served before the CLE gets started.

How to Help Someone Get Their Driver’s License Reinstated

According to the 2015 Update to the Civil Legal Needs Study, consumer debt ranks very high in legal issues areas of civil legal aid needed among the poor of our state.   One of the most serious situations for those in debt is the inability to work due to a suspended driver’s license.  On January 31, those attending our CLE will learn why and how driver’s licenses are suspended and how to help someone get their’ s restated.  Leslie Owen, Senior Attorney in the Olympia office of Northwest Justice Project, will be our presenter and will share the processes NJP has developed with our Thurston County courts.

The evening will start with a light meal at 5:30 and the CLE itself will be between 6:00 and 7:30 pm.   Location:   Olympia Center, Room 100.
